"Is this rug soft enough to use in a master bedroom? I love the look but want something that is not rough on bare feet."
I enjoy the rug very and it feels good on my feet. I was surprised how much dirt was inside the material when I unwrapped it though and still can see quite a bit of dirt every time I vacuum the rug. I like it, but because the fibers seem to be dirty, I won't buy another one in the future.

I Love This Rug! (9x12) My Jute rug arrived today and I have to say, I'm very impressed! I was so nervous before it arrived after reading some of the negative reviews but I'm glad I decided to purchase anyways. This rug is very heavy and very thick and it does have an organic grass smell because it's Jute but I kind of like the smell. Its not over powering. This is a well made rug and I'm glad I purchased.

Comes undone QUICKLY! I LOVE the look and feel of this rug; however, I have not even had it an entire month and there are MANY spots that it has come undone and loops are sticking up ALL over the place. I am not happy at all and would truly like a refund or store credit towards a new one. :-/

The rug is quite loosely woven and your chair legs would probably get caught rather than slide. Nice looking rug - sheds a bit - go for something more tightly woven. Hope this helps.

Chairs will not slide easily. It's a bumpy rug, but feels soothing on your feet. Definitely not for moving chairs on. When vacuuming, you have to use a vacuum hose with a light/not heavy attachment in order to glide over the rug lightly. A heavy attachment will cause the fabric to loosen the weaves.

Hello! I'm a designer and order this rug a lot. It is quite chunky and stretchy. It is fine but you will need a good sticky rug pad or rug tape to keep it steady. We use it in model homes. As for a cat I'm not sure but probably! Although I have it in my house and it has held up to my dogs. It's a nice rug.

My cat has never tried to scratch on this rug. He does use his scratching post a lot, so as long as your cat has an alternative.....I used an old piece of pad from wall to wall carpet, but it is too tall, and you can see it from the side of the rug, so I need to get a flatter pad.

I use this rug in my living room under a sectional and coffee table. Not a super high traffic area but I have two jack russells that shed. I cannot see their hair on the rug. I also do not have any problem with the rug fibers coming loose at all. I will say that some of the loops do come undone when I vacuum but I am able to tuck it back in and you don't notice it at all. I had shag rugs in this area and I bought this one so I wouldn't get that "matted down" problem. I love this rug. You just have to be careful when you vacuum and anything that may catch on it. Also it is very stretchy so moving furniture around can be a struggle. When you first lay the rug down caution if walking on it barefoot. There are sticks/hard pieces that I pulled from it. It's fine now but initially beware. Overall I love this rug for the area that I have it in.

I vacuum the rug once a week, the fibers do break apart in the beginning however since I vacuum and maintain the rug it sparely sheds. With that said, when laying the rug down I noticed a tremendous amount of dirt, that sadly has not gone away. It was too large to attempt to shake out! No matter how much I vacuum the dirt still remains under the rug. The rug is beautiful and much cheaper than ***** or other name brand stores however given what I know now I may have re-thought my purchase.

Hi - I have a chihuahua that loves this rug. I don't see any fibers on my dog. The rug does unknot a bit with vacuuming but can be easily tucked back in. I like the rug a lot. I use it in the dining room and it's held up well. I'd buy it again!

This is a hand woven rug and will shed. The shedding will decrease with time and we recommend not over vacuuming as this can loosen weaves and cause more shedding to occur.

I have a Samoyed. He usually does not like rugs, preferring a cool stone floor but he loves this one. I was concerned because I thought his fur would be a contact problem. Since the rug is soft and not bristley, I've not had a huge issue and the fibers do not stick to him. Some of the knots do loosen but I haven't had a big problem. It feels great to walk on, like getting a foot massage and very soft. Overall good purchase for an inexpensive casual rug.

It is not exactly soft underfoot, although I would say it is thick and somewhat cushy. It isn't flat and thin like a woven seagrass rug, yet it isn't really soft and fluffy like a shag rug, either. You can feel the knots, so it is a bit lumpy underfoot. My husband says it gives his feet a massage.

Hello AJDev, for liquid spills, use a clean, undyed cloth and press firmly around the spill to absorb as much as possible. Do not rub! This will cause the stain to set deeper into the rug, making it harder to remove and increasing the likelihood that it will reappear.
